Close Tolerances and Great Quality: The most complex contours imaginable can be cut with tolerances as close as +/- .0002 inch. With no form grinding necessary, die blocks no longer have to be split. This means huge savings in time and money. Finally, since Wire EDM is usually done after heat treating, this source of distortion is all but eliminated also.

Exotic Alloys: Hard-to-machine materials are ideal candidates for Wire EDM. Almost any material that conducts electricity can be machined, hardness is of no consequence. Aluminum to Zirconium (and everything in between).

Prototypes: Prototypes can go from drawing board to metal within hours. No hard tooling is usually required. Any changes are done in minutes on a computer, and new parts are on their way. By stacking materials, as many parts as desired are quickly "cut.".

Production: Wire EDM can be an economical way to make 100's or 1000's of parts, especially if tolerances are tight or the material is difficult to machine. Sometimes it is the only way! We would be happy to quote on your parts and we will even tell you if Wire EDM is the best way to make them.

Tool Room Temps: Please consider us your tool room temps. While the costs of Wire EDM services are not insignificant, Wire EDM can often cut days or weeks off the delivery time of new or replacement tools.
