This pair of catches is ideal for your narrow boxes or cases. The 511P has a decorative indent in its face while the 512P is smooth. The indented version is more expensive. The 511P and the 512P are both the same size. They are approximately 1-5/16" wide and 1-1/16" high when assembled on your case. The top mounting plate is 1/2" high and will just fit on a box with a 1/2" lid. The bottom (latching portion)also needs a mounting surface approx. 1/2" wide. Two mounting holes on the base and two on the top of the catches are .140" in diameter and are on 1-1/16" centers. Mounting holes are aproximately 1/2" center-to-center from top to bottom. We recommend attachment with 1/8" rivets or #5 screws. We stock #5x1/4" Phillips pan head nickel plated screws for these catches. |
